IMPORTANT NOTE:

When processing door panel widths up to 1200mm the following design criteria must be taken into account:

  • Site Location / Wind load (Pa)
  • Glass Weight (Maximum glass weight per panel 100kg)
  • Door Height
  • Max. Profile Inertia (E.g. P-06-200 /P-06-200 = 68.1 cm^4)

If the wind load/design criteria requires a profile inertia value greater than 68.1cm^4 then either the panel widths/span or height may have to be reduced. The profile inertia value determines the maximum deflection allowable i.e. 3mm. All calculations are in accordance with BS 6375.
